Diploma Policy

The Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences confers a master's degree in agriculture on students who have acquired the following abilities on top of basic knowledge and practical skills cultivated during the undergraduate years:

  1. Advanced expertise and skills to meet the needs of today's diversified and complex society
  2. Practical skills needed to engage in creative undertakings, such as research, surveys and development

Curriculum Policy

In line with its diploma policy, the Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences compiles its curriculum by paying attention to the following points:

  1. Providing an educational and research environment for the acquisition of sophisticated expertise and skills to meet the needs of today's diversified and complex society
  2. Offering subjects for the cultivation of a more advanced and wider knowledge of specialty fields and practical skills needed to engage in creative undertakings like research, surveys and development
  3. Providing subjects in line with the curriculum policies of the majors

The degree holder must have the following abilities to solve food and environmental problems of communities and international society in order to acquire sophisticated expertise on the principle of food production, the farm produce economy, the production base and the control of the environment:

  • The ability to extract problems of the community and international society involving food
  • The ability to exercise rich imagination and strong independence in solving those problems
  • The ability to contribute to the peace and welfare of human society by solving such problems

In line with its diploma policy, the Science of Bioproduction Major teaches the following subjects:

  1. Subjects for the acquisition of the ability to extract various problems of the community and international society involving food
  2. Subjects designed to cultivate the ability to exercise rich imagination and strong independence to solve those problems
  3. Subjects for mastering the ability to contribute to the peace and welfare of human society by solving such problems

Diploma Policy

The Science of Bioresource Engineering Major gives a master's degree in agriculture to students who are equipped with a wider expertise and the ability to search for problems as well as practical abilities necessary for engaging in research and development to solve various problems of the community and international society with creativity and independence.

In line with its diploma policy, the Science of Bioenvironment Major provides wide-varying field education to enable students to obtain highly professional skills to meet the needs of society and self-expression skills through research and expertise as well as subjects designed for the cultivation of various abilities.

  2. The ability to deepen understanding of phenomena through discussions and express self accurately
  3. The ability to apply the acquired research processing capability in problem solving to contribute to society soon after graduation
