New Academic Exchange Agreement Signed with San Carlos University (10/3)

Delia Belleza, Dean, and Anthony Ilano, Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Art and Sciences of San Carlos University (SCU) in the Philippines, visited President Kiyohito Koyama on September 14th, 2015 to discuss future relationship of the two institutions. Yamagata University officially signed a new academic exchange agreement with SCU on October 3rd, 2015.

San Carlos University is originally founded in 1595 and became a comprehensive university in 1948. About 25,000 students are currently enrolled in 30 departments in SCU. The Faculty of Literature and Social Sciences of Yamagata University had previously conducted English learning courses and intercultural experience activities in SCU as a part of its curriculum. The new agreement will enable more active student exchange and research exchange between two universities.
