Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru in Japan Visited President Koyama (2/15)

Elard Escala, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru in Japan, made a courtesy visit to President Kiyohito Koyama on February 15, 2016.

The visit was arranged with the objective to discuss on the future academic exchange between Yamagata University and universities in Peru. Ambassador Escala was also briefed on "Yamagata-Andes Nation's Double Triangle Program (DTP)" that enhance student exchange, language education and various academic collaboration between six universities in South America and Yamagata University and two other institutes in Yamagata.

After the visit, Ambassador Escala met Yamagata University students who will be visiting Peru and two other countries in South America in March through DTP. Ambassador Escala talked about the importance of understanding different cultures and improving communication and language skills, wishing the students to have memorable learning experiences in Peru.
