【授業の目的】
Theme-based English Instruction and Golf Fundamentals

【授業の到達目標】
Students will improve English speaking and listening skills through  task-based activities. Students will have an understanding of golf  fundamentals.

By the end of course, students should be able to:
1. Understand golf specific instruction given in basic English.
2. Explain the rules and etiquette of golf in easy English.
3. Utilize proper grip, stance and alignment to hit the golf ball 50 yards.

【科目の位置付け】
Students will develop both physical and linguistic skills through sport. The instructors hope to impart a lifelong love of learning and sport.

Students will attend classroom, practice range, and short course sessions to learn the fundamentals of golf through English.

【学習の方法】
・受講のあり方
Students will participate in pair and group-work tasks. The teacher will coach individually and as a group. The teacher will supervise golf play.
・授業時間外学習へのアドバイス
Students will pre-read the text and practice drills.
Students will review handouts and drills.

【成績の評価】
・基準
Students will be evaluated on their golf knowledge as well as demonstration of basic golf swing fundamentals.

Quizzes- 25%
Presentation- 25%
Demonstration of swing fundamentals- 25%
Final written test- 25%

Beginning golfers are welcome! This is an opportunity to learn English through a fun and challenging activity. A low intermediate level of English (TOEIC 500+ or equivalent) is necessary.
