【授業の目的】
In this class, students will develop their overall communicative ability with an emphasis on listening. In addition to listening tasks, other communicative functions such as speaking and writing will be included to develop overall skill.

・授業の方法
Students will work in groups and all class exercises will be completed cooperatively so as to create a relaxed environment that facilitates learning. Additional TED Talks will be introduced to the students.

Week 1: Orientation
Week 2 - Week 7: Chapters 1 to 4 of the textbook.
Week 8: Exam 1
Week 9 - Week 14: Chapters 5 to 8 of the textbook.
Week 15: Exam 2
【学習の方法】
・受講のあり方
Students are encouraged to talk in English about any topic. Japanese should be used only to clarify class related issues.
・授業時間外学習へのアドバイス
Reference materials for self study will be suggested. Practicing with these materials can help students improve their performance in class.
【成績の評価】
・基準
Evaluation will be based on a 100 points scale. Students must attend 2/3 of the classes in order to receive credits.
