【授業の目的】
In this class, students will develop their overall communicative ability with an emphasis on speaking. In addition to speaking tasks, other communicative functions such as listening and writing will be included to develop overall skill.

Students at this level have little difficulty in expressing themselves about routine topics. They can participate in short, daily conversation.

The course contains a variety of speaking-orientated structured activities including: Find Someone Who… (class-based speaking and listening); listening comprehensions; dictations; pronunciation drilling; an 8-week group survey project, beginning in the second half of the course; a variety of pairwork activities.

Attending a minimum of 2/3 of classes is obligatory. Failure to do so will result in automatic failure.

【テキスト・参考書】
Materials will be provided by the instructor, but students should have access to a computer in order to print out downloadable files. A good dictionary will be necessary.
