【授業の目的】
Daily English Conversation aims to improve your overall English skills.

The goal of this course is for you to improve your English communication skills in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

【科目の位置付け】
This course is not a mandatory course, but recommended for everyone who is willing to speak in English and improve his/her language abilities outside a normal classroom atmosphere.

【授業計画】
・授業の方法
We will practice speaking in English while eating lunch in the International Lounge. Anyone can join and it is a nice opportunity to meet other people and make friends as well as practicing your English skills. Students who join 20 times or more and give a short presentation will be eligible for credits. You are not required to register for this course to participate and may come and go freely as you please.
・日程
Daily English Conversation will take place every weekday from 12:00-13:00pm in the International Lounge. Every day a different teacher will lead the conversation, giving you a chance to talk to people from different backgrounds.

・受講のあり方
You are expected to participate in the conversations and to give at least one presentation during the semester. We will talk about a variety of topics. Feel free to suggest your own topics and ideas!

Actively participate in English conversation and have fun using English.

【成績の評価】
・基準
This class is evaluated on a pass/fail basis. All students who complete the course requirements listed below will pass.
・方法
You must attend “Daily English Conversation” (A or B) at least 20 times and give one short presentation to get credits.

No textbook is required for this class.

・学生へのメッセージ
It is impossible to learn English only from going to class and reading your textbooks. If you truly want to learn English, you must spend time every day using English. We suggest that you try to read and listen to English every day. Try joining English learning activities at the Faculty of Engineering International Center such as Daily English Conversation, Movie Night, and Board Game Night. Do your best to make learning English as fun as possible so that you will not give up easily!
