New Academic Exchange Agreement Signed with New Mongol Academy (7/28)

Yamagata University signed a new academic exchange agreement with the New Mongol Academy. Mr. Janchiv Galbadrakh, the President of New Mongol Academy, visited President Koyama for a signed ceremony on July 27th 2015. The agreement is to promote more active student exchange as well as research exchange, raise the levels of quality of education and research, and enhance globalization.

Mr. Janchiv studied in Yamagata University from 1996 to 1999 and graduated from the Graduate School of Education. In 2000, he established the Shine Mongol High School, the first 3-year-curriculum senior high school in Mongolia. Its educational system is based on the Japanese senior high school system, mocking the prefectural senior high school in Yamagata which his daughter was attending. It has grown to one of the best schools in Mongol and sent its students to all over the world to support their dreams to study abroad.

After the signing ceremony, Mr. Janchiv talked about the New Mongol Academy's establishment and the courses that its alumni have taken after graduation. Those present on Yamagata University side included Vice-President Hironori Yasuda and the Head of Kojirakawa Campus International Center. All discussed the future relationship of the two institutions and the importance of helping students to feel confident.
