【授業概要】
・テーマ
English (C) aims to help students to improve basic communication skills such as listening, conversation and written composition.
・到達目標
By the end of course, students will improve communication skills and vocabulary, enabling efficient communication and providing them with the ability to deal with a wide range of topics. Specifically, they should be able to:
Listening:understand everyday conversation without undue effort.
Speaking:describe clearly a wide range of subjects referring in the main to personal experiences; express agreement or disagreement in an everyday discussion.
Writing:write sentences of a reasonable length about their environment.

【授業計画】
・授業の方法
This course uses a topic-based course book and other classroom activities and materials to help increase student knowledge of English and apply that knowledge in verbal and written communication.
・日程
Most classes will cover a new topic area, for which students will be expected to have done some preparation. Students will be expected to do individual, pair, and group work throughout the course.

【学習の方法】
・受講のあり方
Being an English Communication course, students are expected to fully participate in class. Each time you are absent, late, or do not actively participate, a deduction will be made to your participation score.
・授業時間外学習へのアドバイス
Students will be informed of each week’s theme by at least the prior class period. Students should proactively prepare for each days topic beforehand. Additionally, students should consistently review class content from previous lessons.

【成績の評価】
・基準
Scores for individual assignments and quizzes will be determined throughout the semester, with the final grade being tabulated using the percentages listed in 成績評価基準.
・方法
TOEIC Test – 20%
Class Participation – 5%
Homework – 25%
Quizzes – 20%
Final presentation – 30%
Attending a minimum of 2/3 of classes is mandatory and those who fail to do so will be given 0 points for the course.
