【授業概要】
・テーマ
English (C) aims to help students to improve basic communication skills such as listening, conversation and written composition. Students must make an effort to communicate in English with their partners and groups.
・到達目標
By the end of course, students will improve communication skills and vocabulary, enabling efficient communication and providing them with the ability to deal with a wide range of topics. Specifically, they should be able to:

     Listening: understand everyday conversation without undue effort.
     Speaking: describe clearly a wide range of subjects referring in the main to personal
          experiences; express agreement or disagreement in an everyday discussion.
     Writing: write sentences of a reasonable length about their environment.

【授業計画】
・授業の方法
This course will use a topic-based course book that provides a good framework for students to both expand their knowledge of English, and also to increase their fluency. Students will work in groups, pairs and as individuals during the course.
・日程
Students will be informed of the topic of each class a week in advance, and students will be expected to have done preparation for this.

【学習の方法】
・受講のあり方
Students are expected to participate fully in class. Students are expected to speak out in class and questions and comments during class time are welcomed.
・授業時間外学習へのアドバイス
Students will be informed about each week's topic at least by the previous lesson, and so should prepare thoroughly prior to each lesson.
Students should review previous lessons to keep their English skills up-to-date.

Attending a minimum of 2/3 of classes is mandatory and those who fail to do so will be given 0 points for the course

In addition to the textbook, students will need a good dictionary.
