・テーマ
English (C) aims to help students to improve basic communication skills such as listening, conversation and written composition. Another goal is to give students the opportunity to learn new content on a related topic in their field of study and form an opinion to explain to others.
・到達目標
By the end of course, students will improve communication skills and vocabulary, enabling efficient communication and providing them with the ability to deal with a wide range of topics. Specifically, they should be able to:
Listening: understand everyday conversation without undue effort.
Speaking: describe clearly a wide range of subjects referring in the main to personal experiences; express agreement or disagreement in an everyday discussion.
Writing: write sentences of a reasonable length about their environment.

【授業計画】
・授業の方法
You will be given a topic that you must be able to describe your opinion and ask others by using the phrases. You will have 4-5 topic discussions with different members of the class. There will be a group leader for each discussion. Each group discussion will last between 15-25 minutes and be worth 35 POINTS. While you are talking, the teacher will be grading you. You will be graded on how many times and how well you use the phrases.

・基準
While you are talking, the teacher will be grading you. You will be graded on how many times and how well you use the phrases.
・方法
Grading:
1. Discussions - 70%
e.g. (Discussion scores total / # of presentations) / 35 = Final score %
e.g. (24+28+32+29+30 / 5) / 35 = 82%
2. TOEIC test - 20%
3. . Final “Discussion Report” – 10%
Attending a minimum of 2/3 of classes is mandatory and those who fail to do so will be given 0 points for the course.
