Daily Conversation
GOALS: to improve students’ skills and vocabulary and enable smooth communication.
・到達目標
OBJECTIVES: By the end of course, students should be able to:
Listening: understand sentences of a reasonable length, provided speech is slow.
Speaking: talk about familiar topics without undue effort; have a short conversation.
Writing: write simple phrases and sentences about their environment.

【授業計画】
・授業の方法
Students will perform speaking tasks in pairs and small groups.
Typically, students will work in groups of four often changing partners.

4. Midterm- Oral Test 2 minutes

7. Final- Oral Test 4 minutes
【学習の方法】
・受講のあり方
Students will take an active role in their own learning by observing their own speech, as well as the speech of others.
・授業時間外学習へのアドバイス
Students must check vocabulary and perform all written assignments before coming to class.
There will be frequent review of the speaking strategies taught in class.
【成績の評価】
・基準
Students will be assessed on their preparation, speaking up in class, and ability to have a four minute conversation at the end of the semester. Attending a minimum of 10 classes is mandatory and those who fail to do so will be given 0 points for the course.

Homework, quizzes, class participation 30%. TOEIC 20%. Midterm 25%.Final 25%.
