【授業の目的】
In this class, students will develop their overall communicative ability with an emphasis on speaking. In addition to speaking tasks, other communicative functions such as listening and writing will be included to develop overall skill.

A Communicative Language Teaching methodology will be used in which students will engage in conversations about interesting topics that include science, pop-culture, world news and others. The students will learn relevant and useful vocabulary and phrases as well as participate in English-only discussions within small groups.

Grades will be determined by the schematic below. The midterm and final evaluations will consist of a timed group conversation with a focus on communicative competence.

This class will focus on communicative competence and fluency. Students will be expected to participate in an English-only environment and are encouraged to have an open mindset and not worry about making grammatical mistakes. In this class, successful communication will be more important than grammatical accuracy.
