This course focuses on the History of English. It will be taught in both English and Japanese and is aimed at students with a good working knowledge of the language.

・授業の方法
An English reading will be set for homework and the content will be discussed during the seminar. In addition, we will watch and discuss a TV series, in Japanese, on the history of English.

・受講のあり方
Students should contribute positively to class discussion.
・授業時間外学習へのアドバイス
Make every effort to study by yourself during the week. Visit the Kojirakawa Campus International Lounge, where you can chat with English native speaker students.
【成績の評価】
・基準
Students will be graded based on their participation in class, their acquisition of knowledge, their level of comprehension, and their acquisition of general skills. 2/3 attendance mandatory.

Mid-Term Presentation: 40% End-of-Term Presentation: 40% Participation in Class: 20%

Materials will be supplied by the instructor. Bring a good dictionary to class.
