In Basic English B, you will focus on improving English grammar, vocabulary, reading and listening skills in preparation for the TOEIC.

【授業計画】
・授業の方法
Classes will be taught in lecture style. You will practice reading and listening English as well as on TOEIC practice.
・日程
1st class: Orientation
2nd class ~ 14th class:
In Basic English A, you will improve your English grammar and vocabulary through various exercises and practice for the TOEIC test.
There will be a vocabulary quiz. TOEIC practice exercises will also be assigned for homework.
TOEIC is one of the main focuses of this class and you are required to take the TOEIC test in December.
9th class: Mid-term test
15th class: Final test
【学習の方法・準備学修に必要な学修時間の目安】
・受講のあり方
You are expected to actively participate in class and prepare for the TOEIC in December. Also, you are expected to be
well-prepared for the units on the textbook and vocabulary quizzes on webclass each week.
・授業時間外学習（予習・復習）のアドバイス
You will be assigned homework to practice TOEIC every week.
In addition, you are expected to study and prepare for vocabulary quizzes each week.
【成績の評価】
・基準
Your grade will be evaluated based on speaking up in class, vocabulary quizzes, a mid-term exam, TOEIC score, and a final exam.
・方法
Grades will be calculated in the following fashion:
Speaking up in class: 20 pts.
TOEIC-IP score: 30 pts.
Vocabulary quizzes: 15 pts.
Mid-term exam: 15 pts.
Final exam: 20 pts.
