In this English Multimedia course, you will improve your English through different activities using different media such as games, music, movies, apps and more. The purpose is to find fun ways of learning English naturally through things that you already enjoy. The course aims to improve your communication skills, presentation skills, and critical thinking through various activities.

By taking this class, you will gain confidence in using English to communicate; you will find new ways to practice using English; you will be able to actively engage in English through various means.

It is mandatory to attend at least one English class during your second year at the University. Additional classes are on a voluntary basis.

This class focuses on learning and using English in various ways. Most classes require active participation in group work.

Week 1 Orientation

Weeks 2-15: Actively using English through various multimedia and projects.

There will be occasional short writing assignments and vocabulary tests.
Grammar will not be the focus of this class.

You are expected to actively participate in class each week, including speaking English and working together with your classmates.

Please study for vocabulary quizzes and complete homework assignments. Be active in group work.

You will be evaluated based on class participation, group work, presentations, assignments and vocabulary quizzes.

Participation: 35 pts
Vocabulary quizzes and assignments: 30 pts
Presentations/Group work: 35 pts
