The focus of this class is fluency development, giving confidence and enhance the skills the students already have.

Students will develop fluency through active involvement in class, utilizing all four skills (speaking, listening, writing and reading) in integrated activities which will lead to greater confidence in students' own English skills.

【授業計画】
・授業の方法
Students are required to take an active role in their own learning by choosing the course topics. The course level requires that participating students have a TOEIC score of at least 400 and no more than 600.
・日程
The course syllabus will be negotiated between the students and teacher in the first class. The standard class will be one topic / class with exercises involving the four skills that will be prepared by the teacher. A 3/4-week project could also be introduced if chosen by the students.

・受講のあり方
There will be weekly discussion topics, communicative tasks and some written feedback.
・授業時間外学習（予習・復習）のアドバイス
Come to class on time and prepared for the weekly topic. Reading and preparation will be given the week before and students will be expected to participate and share opinions in every class.
【成績の評価】
・基準
Students will be graded based on their participation in class, their acquisition of knowledge, their level of comprehension, and the feedback they give at the end of class / homework for the next week. Grades will be determined on the criteria below.

【テキスト・参考書】
There is no required text for this class. Handouts and materials will be made by the teacher. Access to a good dictionary (digital or otherwise) is recommended.

This is a practical communication course with a focus on developing communicative fluency. Class size will be limited to 16 students.

Tuesday to Friday, 12:10 - 12:50. Meetings outside office hours can be arranged by appointment. My office is on the 2F of the #1 Kiban Building. Use entrance A2.
