As pest insects have been causing serious damage on agricultural products, insecticides have been used as a useful way to control these insects. However, we have several problems associated with using insecticides so that we have to utilize several ways of pest control including the chemical control. In this course, after the four ways of pest control will be reviewed, several problems due to chemical control will be mentioned in relation to environmental issues. Finally, we focus on the biological control which is an environmental friendly way to reduce abundance of pest insects without chemical supply. |
