Cultural Exchange with University Students in Philippines – JENESYS2017

26 University students and Graduate students in Philippines visited Yonezawa Campus as a part of Japan’s Friendship Ties programs of JICE, Japan International Cooperation Center, on February 9, 2018.

In this visit, they had cultural exchanges about communications in Japanese and Japanese culture with 16 students in YU and Yonezawa Women’s Junior College. They all enjoyed "marshmallow tower challenge" as an ice-breaking, and gave presentations about their each university and campus life, they deepened their understanding each other.

They also enjoyed making snow lantern and having snowball fights, for students in Philippines to have an experience the winter in Yamagata and Yonezawa which is famous for heavy snow. It was a fulfilling cultural exchange program with full of smiles.

JENESYS2017

JENESYS2017 is a people-to-people exchange program between Japan and the Asia-Pacific region. This program will include approximately 3,700 people in a year.
