Send-off Party for TOBITATE! (Leap for tomorrow) - Study Abroad Initiative

"The 1st Glocal Human Resource Development Program to Open the Future of Yamagata" adopted for Regional Human Resources Course of the 9th Public-Private Partnership Encouraging Students Study Abroad "the Tobitate! (Leap for Tomorrow) Young Ambassador Program", in order to encourage 14 scholarship students, a send-off party was held at Yamagata University Culture Hall on July 14, 2018.

Approximately 40 people from the companies cooperating with this program, including those from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and Yamagata Prefecture, participated in the Sponsoring Society. As organizer, Masatoshi Wakamatsu Yamagata Prefecture Deputy Governor and YU President Kiyohito Koyama expressed appreciation to companies in the prefecture and related organizations and sent a message with expectations to the students.

The students expressed their passion for what kind of experience they would like to do and what they would like to contribute to the development of the region.  In addition to domestic internship in companies in Yamagata, they are going to experience overseas internship in companies and/or research institutions in 10 countries around the world mainly in Asia for 1 to 2 months.
