On 10th December 2015, a bus tour took about 25 international students to two companies in Yamagata Prefecture. The tour was arranged so they could see the working environment in Japanese companies and learn what is important to find employment successfully in Japan.

The students visited Tsukioka Hotel in Kaminoyama City (tourist industry) and TOSOH Quartz Corporation in Yamagata City (manufacturing industry). They heard the presentations on company profiles and joined hotel/factory tours.

After coming back to Kojirakawa campus, the students also took a seminar (both in Japanese and English) on the basics of job-hunting in Japan such as annual employment schedule and Japanese language skills required for work.

Yamagata University will keep assisting international students to get prepared for job-hunting activities in Japan.
