2,343 new students of YU, joined entrance ceremony held on April 3, 2018.

President Koyama sent the message to new students in his speech, "In YU, your life will change dramatically depending on what you learn, what you feel, and who you meet.  I would like you to keep your eyes forward, outward and upward, and to step forward with confidence."

Fumika Asano, representative of new students, had sworn an oath for entering YU.

YU DO BEST Scholarship Ceremony was also held.  Ai Takamiya, representative of YU Do Best Scholarship students, sent a message to new students.

Students' Club shows YU School Song performances and choruses and Hanagasa (flower hat) Odori at the Welcoming Ceremony, and seniors sent a passionate ale to the new students that "Important things are challenging without fear of failure".
