Ryutaro Narumi, Faculty of Science, is a member of Kendo (Japanese fencing) club and had an experience to study in Latvia.

Narumi likes to play Kendo from his childhood and he is good at both sports and studies.  When he was sophomore, Latvian Kendo Team visited Yamagata.  While having a communication with them, he strongly desired to visit Latvia.

He had great experience like living abroad, taking his class in only English, and playing Kendo with Latvian students while staying in Latvia.
