To achieve a society that is not constrained by disabilities.

A society where everyone can live as they wish is ideal, but there are still many challenges to achieving this. In particular, for those with various disabilities, the barriers are even greater. In our laboratory, we are researching the education of children with disabilities, especially those with physical disabilities (motor impairments), in order to bring us one step closer to a society where individuals can thrive regardless of their disabilities. A motor disability not only affects physical functions but also impacts cognitive and communication aspects, among others. We work with students to think every day about what difficulties each child faces, what kind of guidance and support are needed to improve or overcome those challenges, and what we can do to help.
