　このたびのロシアによるウクライナへの侵攻は、主権国家に対する武力行使であり、世界の平和と安全を根底から揺るがす行為です。世界平和を希求する国立大学法人として、到底容認できるものではありません。山形大学を代表して、軍事行動の即時停止と、対話による紛争課題の平和的解決を強く望みます。

The recent invasion of Ukraine by Russia is a unilateral use of force against a sovereign nation, and is an act that strongly undermines the foundation of world peace and security. As a national university in Japan that seeks perpetual peace, we cannot condone such an armed conflict. On behalf of Yamagata University, I strongly demand an immediate halt to military action and a peaceful resolution of the conflict through dialogue.
