Research Laboratory for Molecular Genetics

The Research Laboratory for Molecular Genetics was established on April 1, 2000 to promote life sciences, education and training in DNA recombination technology. A second facility was constructed on the Iida Campus on March 1, 2002, and a third one recently established at the Faculty of Agriculture on the Tsuruoka Campus.

We are carrying out and supporting research and education in life sciences at the university with an emphasis on infrastructure development for studies using gene-manipulated mice, essential to research in advanced life sciences. P3-level experiments can also be performed at the facility.
