The Faculty of Literature and Social Sciences is an integrated humanities and social sciences faculty and rated one of the best in eastern Japan. You will study a unique education which appeals to today's youth and is responsive to the needs of our ever more complex world.

With our small class sizes, but a range of courses, you can study multi-dimensionally the inseparable relationships between people and society. Students learn to develop their creative sensibilities as well honing the flexibility necessary for solving problems recurrent in the local community and our globalized society.  A newly-established Global Studies Course provides you with a knowledge in contributing to multicultural symbiosis and improvement your working knowledge in English and other languages (Mandarin, German French and Russian).

Throughout the curriculum, you will be able to perform at the highest level and can analyse culture and society from both a macro and micro viewpoint. Our graduates pursue diverse careers in government, education, finance, IT and many other fields.
