Research Center for Higher Education

The Research Center for Higher Education was established in April 2011 as an education and research support facility consisting of Faculty Development (FD) Support Division and Regional Educational Collaboration Support Division to work on improvement of teaching and other areas as well as on educational collaboration in the region.

The FD Support Division compiles and analyzes education-related data and utilizes its findings for educational reform at Yamagata University in order to improve the quality of education as a whole and classroom instruction on the part of faculty. It also promotes educational improvement in collaboration with universities, junior colleges and colleges of technology in eastern Japan through the Center's FD network called "TSUBASA."

The Regional Educational Collaboration Support Division is undertaking collaborative projects with the local community in the field of education by means of articulation between universities and high schools as well as the Mogami Area Campus of Yamagata University.
