The Networking and Computing Service Center (NCSC) is an organization established for researching information technology, and maintaining and expanding the university's information infrastructure for purposes related to education, research and administration.

The Center consists of the head office in Kojirakawa Campus and three branches located in Iida, Yonezawa and Tsuruoka Campuses. The Center fulfills the following functions and activities at the university:

1. Keeping the information superhighway of Yamagata University (YUnet) in good working order and continually upgrading the facilities.
2. Promoting information literacy education and providing network and computer facilities for education.
3. Supporting and developing multimedia equipment for the university's education and research programs.
