Medicine Major (Doctoral Program)

The objective of the Medicine Major is to study pathogenic mechanisms of disease for treatment and prevention in order to keep and improve the health of human beings. The Doctoral Program aims at nurturing medical researchers with advanced research ability and a rich knowledge to deal with rapidly progressing research and people who can play leadership roles in a wide range of areas.
In order to improve measures against cancer, the major enlightens young people to acquire knowledge and skills necessary to obtain professional qualifications to become cancer specialists equipped with the interdisciplinary and integrated ability to promote clinical research.
The major recruits excellent students who are strongly motivated to proactively exercise their abilities through medical research.

Master's Program

Today's modern society calls for people who explore strategies to make healthy and rich lives possible by understanding the life-environment relationship, flexibly coping with social structure changes from the standpoint of medical care, administration and welfare and supporting people comprehensively throughout their lifetime.
The major wants excellent and motivated students irrespective of their fields to build an interdisciplinary research organization eventually in order to seek effective and specific solutions to these challenges.

Doctoral Program

Nursing Major

The Master's Program desires students who:

Are equipped with the basic knowledge of the nursing area they want to major in,
Have a sense of ethics and are motivated to address challenges on their own initiatives on a scientific basis, and
Are willing to cultivate a wide knowledge and contribute to education, research and practical nursing activities as leaders.

The Doctoral Program desires students who:

Have the basic ability to do research on nursing in the area they want to major in,
Have senses of both basic human rights protection and ethics and can support people's self-determination, and
Are willing to cultivate a rich knowledge and contribute to education, research and practical nursing activities as sophisticated nursing professionals with a research mindset.
